This piece of art is award-winning as it was given a special recognition award in an All-Women Art competition in February 2015. The rainbow beautifully depicts a place where happiness and sadness meet.

We have produced a video which depicts the double meaning inspiring this abstract artwork, which even the Bible at Genesis 9:13 places great responsibility in the covenant behind the rainbow. Here we use the rainbow, somewhat in a lighter note, to show happiness in the beauty of the spectrum of colours, and somehow sadness that the rain has to come to bring about this phenomenon.

This artwork was awarded a special recognition award by the Light Space and Time Online Gallery in February 2015, and was the first accolade received by Elle Smith.
